Vol. 512 No. 8

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Liam Aylward

Question:

126 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have arrangements made to have approval for a care assistant issued for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who cannot attend school until this appointment is approved. [27339/99]

The case to which the Deputy refers has not previously been brought to my Departments attention.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate the child's needs as a matter of urgency with a view to ensuring that suitable provision is made available for this child at the earliest possible date.
