131 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide the advance copy of the report of the whole school evaluation pilot scheme and the consultation document on the draft circular in order that elected members can participate in the consultation process. [27344/99]

The report on the whole school evaluation – WSE – pilot project has been printed in recent days and copies are now being disseminated to the education partners, schools and management authorities. I am arranging for a copy of the report to be sent to the Deputy.

My officials are currently preparing a draft circular on the procedures and practices which will underpin the implementation of WSE within the education system. The views of the education partners on the draft circular will be sought and following this a circular will issue to all schools and management authorities early in the new year.
