162 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the position in relation to an application for a shellfish licence by a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1122/00]
I can advise the Deputy that a sea fishing boat licence was offered to the person concerned by my Department on 5 May 1999. The licence offer was subject, inter alia, to the provision of specified information to my Department in relation to compliance with licence conditions. This information has not been received to date. I can assure the Deputy that consideration of the licence application will be progressed quickly by my Department as soon as a response is received from the person concerned.
