Ruairí Quinn

Question:

52 Mr. Quinn asked the Taoiseach the plans, if any, he has during 2000 to introduce amendments to the Constitution; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1351/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 51 and 52 together.

The report in question is part of a wider series of recommendations for constitutional change made by the All-Party Oireachtas Committee on the Constitution. The Government has already implemented the recommendations made by the committee in relation to recognition of local government in the Constitution. Other recommendations, including those in this report, will be addressed over time.
