402 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of times a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been given an admission date for a prostate operation; the exact dates allocated; the number of times these admission dates were cancelled; the reason for each cancellation; the number of times he has been seen by the consultant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
