Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Workers.

John Gormley

Question:

457 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a copy of a statement from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 in relation to his employment as a health worker; and his views in relation to the proposals contained in his statement. [1562/00]

Correspondence has been received from the person whose details were supplied. The issues raised in the correspondence referred to a complaint about the person's employment in the Blackrock Clinic and a request that the statute of limitations in respect of employment laws, with particular reference to bullying and health and safety in the workplace, be extended.

The complaint in respect of his employment was referred to the Health and Safety Authority who are currently in contact with the person concerning the matter. His other request with respect to the statue of limitations and the employment and equality laws was initially referred to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment which, I believe has since referred the matter to the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
