Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Pensions Ombudsman.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

616 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the position regarding the appointment of a pensions ombudsman and the report of the Pensions Board in this regard. [1835/00]

A report on the establishment of a pensions ombudsman is currently being prepared by the pensions board and I expect to receive this shortly. The report will be considered in the context of the comprehensive Occupational Pensions Bill which I plan to introduce later this year.
