Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Correspondence.

John Gormley

Question:

647 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received correspondence regarding the constitutional rights of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will deal with the concerns raised in the letter. [1047/00]

I refer the Deputy to a reply to a parliamentary question on this matter on 16 December 1999.

The substantive issue of the correspondence is the court procedure for bail applications and as I stated in my previous reply, this is a matter for the court and I cannot intervene in any way.
