Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Probation and Welfare Service.

Pat Carey

Question:

657 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to provide an office for the Probation and Welfare Service in Ballymun as part of the rejuvenation of the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1323/00]

The plans of the Probation and Welfare Service for localisation include a local office for Ballymun, Dublin 9. The Office of Public Works in consultation with the local authority is endeavouring to identify an appropriate location.

However, no suitable accommodation has been found. The service's requirements have been made known to Ballymun Regeneration.
