182 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the building of a school (details supplied) in County Dublin; when work will commence; the scale of the local contribution; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2078/00]
The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in regard to the specific school as a result of an industrial dispute. However, the general position is that the local contribution applicable for extensions and renovation works to existing school buildings is 10% of the capital cost up to a maximum contribution of £25,000 or 5% of the cost up to a maximum contribution of £50,000 in the case of new schools.
