Róisín Shortall

Question:

141 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the concern of parents of children attending Glasnevin national school, Botanic Avenue, Dublin 9, on the delay in progressing the renovation of the school, an application for which has been outstanding with his Department since June 1997; the reason for the delay; if he will arrange to immediately have this application prioritised in view of the delay and the age of the building; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3884/00]

The planning and building unit of my Department will shortly be making arrangements for the appointment of a design team to undertake the necessary architectural planning of a building project at the school.
