40 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the steps, if any, he will take to assist in the resolution of continuing problems in Tara Mines in County Meath which are threatening the future operation of the company; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The industrial relations difficulties at the company in question are ultimately a matter for resolution by the company and its workforce.
Following recent meetings with my predecessor, together with the Tánaiste and the Minister for the Environment and Local Government, a facilitation process was initiated and that process is almost complete.
