98 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will sanction the town renewal plan for Kilcock, County Kildare; if not, when a decision will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3775/00]

The various town renewal plans submitted by county councils, including those from Kildare County Council, are currently being examined by the specially established expert panel. I hope to be in a position to announce designations under the scheme in April next.
