Vol. 514 No. 2

Written Answers. - Television Licences.

Noel Ahern

Question:

107 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he will arrange for a refund of television licence savings stamps to pensioners who have qualified for a free licence; if this will be done in the post office or by formal application to his Department or elsewhere; and the reason current regulations disallow a refund in post offices. [3897/00]

I understand that An Post fully refunds the cost of television licence savings stamps to people who have qualified for a free television licence from my Department. Refunding the cost of these savings stamps is an administrative matter for An Post.
