227 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress, if any, made towards the development of a traditional medicine directive at EU level; when this directive will be in place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4334/00]

: I understand progress on developments in this area will be reported at the next EU pharmaceutical committee meeting which is scheduled to take place in March 2000.
