Lifelong learning is the key theme underlying the Government's approach to education. My views on adult education and its future development will be contained in the White Paper.
The drafting of the White Paper will be completed very shortly. In accordance with established procedure with documents of this nature, it will then be circulated to all Departments for their observations. It may be necessary to amend the draft in the light of these observations. The final version will be submitted to the Government for approval. It will be published as soon as practicable after approval has been received.
