174 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the proposals, if any, he has to address the growing inadequacy of the shared ownership scheme; if he will introduce changes to the income limits above which a couple may not qualify for the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I recently announced significant improvements to the subsidy amounts payable for shared ownership purchases effected on or after 1 January 2000. While I have no plans at present to revise the maximum income limits, I am keeping the terms of the scheme under review.
