Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Durkan – the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 245 of 8 February 2000 in relation to a dispute regarding lands at Shankill in the light of a previous reply to Parliamentary Question No. 346 of 26 January 2000; (2) Deputy Coveney – the need for an initiative to highlight men's health issues; (3) Deputy Hayes – the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to immediately revoke his decision to increase lands and deeds registration fees; (4) Deputy Upton – the need to address the shortfall in the education component of apprenticeships; (5) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to provide for the continuance of the butter voucher scheme given its importance to families on low incomes; (6) Deputy Shortall – the urgent need to increase the ambulance service and to up-date the fire brigade fleet in the Dublin area; (7) Deputy Daly – the impending closure of the KEL factory in Ennis, County Clare, with the loss of up to 70 jobs; (8) Deputy Ulick Burke – the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to sanction finance for the group water scheme in Kiltormer, Ballinasloe, County Galway; (9) Deputy Wall – the provision of funding to the hyperactive attention deficit disorder and the attention deficit disorder support groups.

The matters raised by Deputies Durkan, Coveney, Shortall and Hayes have been selected for discussion.
