145 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department received a refund of Leader I funding in 1996 or 1997 from a project (details supplied) in County Mayo; if his attention has been drawn to any refund from any projects funded under Leader I; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is normal practice for Leader groups to seek to recover Leader funds in situations where the guidelines have not been followed in full. I am aware of a number of occasions where Leader funding has been recouped.

As regards the Leader group in question, my Department has the matter under examination at present.
