Vol. 514 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Willie Penrose

Question:

150 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance if an application for repayment of tax for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be dealt with immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4780/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a repayment of tax from the taxpayer. The inspector has sent the appropriate form to the taxpayer to enable him to make a claim. When the completed form and necessary supporting documentation are returned to the inspector, he will review the taxpayer's liability and make any refund that may be due.
