Question:

206 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of civil servants appointed by him and his Ministers of State to look after constituency matters; the costs involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5106/00]

The number of civil servants looking after constituency matters in my office and in the offices of the two Ministers of State is eight at a cost of £121,608 per annum. This is within the guidelines on staffing in ministerial offices as set out by the Department of Finance.
