Question:200 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when dealings for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be completed in the Land Registry Office. [5485/00]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a section 49 application, that is, acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964 which was lodged on 17 February 1999.
I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, can take some time to process. Accordingly it is not possible to estimate a completion date for the application concerned at this stage.
However, I assure the Deputy that the Land Registry will deal with this application without delay.
