I propose to take Questions Nos. 216 and 217 together.

The staffing schedule for primary schools in the 2000-01 school year has not yet been finalised. My Department is currently having discussions on the staffing schedule with the managerial authorities of primary schools and the INTO.

The board of management of the school will be advised of the position as soon as the staffing schedule for the 2000-01 school year is finalised.
