Vol. 515 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

56 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 cattle and sheep headage and premia payments. [6479/00]

The person named was one of a number of herdowners selected to be audited in respect of his area aid application. This audit has now been completed, his area aid application has been fully processed and payment of his suckler cow premium is being made today. Payment of the final instalment of the 1999 ewe premium scheme commenced on 29 February 2000 and payment to the person named is being made today.

Under the cattle and sheep headage schemes applicants are required to submit their RSI No. with their application forms if grants claimed exceed £500. The person named claimed grants in excess of £500 but did not submit his RSI No. with his applications. He was written to in this regard on 3 February 1999 but to date there is no record of any response from him. If and when he does submit his RSI No., processing of his applications can be finalised.
