Question:

136 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he has received an application from a person (details supplied) in County Cork for additional milk quota under the scheme for young qualified farmers arising from the additional milk available from reform of the CAP; and if he will make an allocation of additional quota to this person. [6951/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 135 and 136 together.

Milk purchasers have now received completed application forms for the scheme for the allocation of five million gallons additional milk quota to younger dairy farmers and these are being submitted to my Department.

The applications will be processed in my Department as quickly as possible and all applicants will be notified of the outcome.
