Vol. 515 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Code.

Pat Carey

Question:

154 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 is paying the correct amount of tax. [6670/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, according to the information available to the Inspector of Taxes, the taxpayer is paying the correct amount of income tax. If the taxpayer has reason to believe that he is paying more income tax than he should be, he should inform the Inspector of Taxes who will review his tax liability and make any necessary adjustment to his tax-free allowance.
