Vol. 515 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard Allen

Question:

191 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate a situation where a person (details supplied) in County Cork is awaiting an MRI scan in the Cork University Hospital for some considerable time and, as a result, is out of work; the date the application for the scan was made; and when the health board will provide it. [6944/00]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate this matter and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
