199 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the additional funding to be provided for central heating under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter [6926/00]
In recognition of the valuable work being done under the aegis of the task force on special housing aid for the elderly, including the installation of appropriate heating appliances where necessary, £8 million has been provided for the scheme in 2000, compared with £6 million in 1999.
