Dan Neville

Question:

258 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of children who were killed or injured on roads in each of the years from 1997 to date. [6991/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that detailed statistics in relation to the number of children who were killed or injured on Irish roads are provided by the National Roads Authority, St. Martin's House, Waterloo Road, Dublin 4.

Details in relation to all road traffic accidents reported to the gardaí are supplied by the gardaí to the National Roads Authority, and a detailed report on road accidents entitled, Road Accident Facts, is prepared and published by that authority. The most recent report is in respect of 1998.
