Vol. 515 No. 6

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Seán Ryan

Question:

298 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will identify a site to enable the board of management to construct a permanent building for Gaelscoil Bhrian Boroimhe, Swords, County Dublin. [6949/00]

It is only when my Department is satisfied as to future viability and has granted permanent recognition to a school that capital funds can be committed to the acquisition of a site and the construction of a new school building.

The school in question was only recently granted temporary recognition and no application for permanent recognition has been received in my Department.
