Vol. 516 No. 1

Written Answers. - Land Sale.

Jack Wall

Question:

97 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will investigate the sale of land (details supplied) in County Kildare; if she will review the costing of this in view of the fact that the family has farmed this land for 30 years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7109/00]

The person concerned has a lease of the land in question until 2060 and is, therefore, entitled to continue to farm the land until then. Dúchas Waterways advised me that it has had an independent professional valuation carried out on this property and will be contacting the person concerned shortly informing him of the terms and conditions in relation to the proposed sale of the property.
