236 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a REP scheme payment to a person (details supplied) will be processed for each of the years 1998 and 1999 in view of the fact that all documents have been lodged; the reason for the delay and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8920/00]
This application was subject to a random plan examination and on-farm inspection. Arising from this inspection, an affidavit of possession was sought by the Department confirming the applicant's entitlement to exclusive and beneficial ownership of 31 acres of land. The land is not currently registered in the applicant's name. The affidavit was submitted to my Department on 4 February 2000.
Payment in respect of year two will issue within the next ten days. Payment in respect of year three is being processed and will issue shortly.
