Vol. 516 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Question:

303 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in examining the case of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who is an invalid and requires an assessment for glasses urgently; and if he will expedite the case. [9044/00]

As it is the statutory responsibility of the South- Eastern Health Board to provide ophthalmic services to eligible persons in County Carlow, I have asked the chief executive of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
