Question:

353 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay by the Land Registry in registering a dealing (details supplied); and when this will be completed. [8946/00]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application for a shared ownership lease has been mapped. Continuation searches are to be concluded in the Registry of Deeds and judgment office. If no transactions are returned this application will be finalised shortly.

354 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 282 of 22 February 2000, the progress made on this dealing; the reason it was not located under the previous dealing; if he will ensure it will be immediately processed as the property is for sale; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8948/00]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged on 13 December 1999. I am informed that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 20 March 2000 and that on receipt of a satisfactory response to these queries the matter will be dealt with without delay.

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a section 49 application, i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 25 February 1999 and completed on 7 March 2000.

356 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will ensure that the application of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim is processed in view of the fact all the documentation has been lodged; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8950/00]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the solicitors for the applicant recently returned the file plan for amendment. Amendment has been made and a fresh file plan showing amendment issued to the applicant's solicitors on 24 March 2000.
