Vol. 517 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Allowances.

Michael Creed

Question:

132 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in County Cork is entitled to the home caring spouse allowance. [9210/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes does not have sufficient information to enable him to determine whether the taxpayer is entitled to the home carer's allowance.

The inspector has issued a claim form (IT 66) to the taxpayer who should complete and return it to the inspector who will then process the claim without delay.
