156 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Laois will be called for a heart operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9312/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.

157 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will take steps to have a person (details supplied) admitted to Tullamore General Hospital for tonsillitis treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9315/00]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
