Vol. 517 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

115 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when provision will be made for surgery in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6 who requires the removal of cataracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9445/00]

The responsibility for the provision of ophthalmic services, in the first instance rests with the hospital concerned. As the information supplied by the Deputy does not provide details of the hospital concerned, I am unable to make further inquiries. The Deputy should, therefore, supply full details to the chief executive officer of the hospital concerned and ask that this matter be investigated and a reply issue directly to him.
