150 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Finance if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 91 of 1 March 2000, the problems associated with the fire safety alarm at Cloverhill prison, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, have been rectified; and if all out standing safety issues have been resolved. [9581/00]

Works associated with the upgrading of the fire safety alarm system at Cloverhill prison are well in hand and will be completed within the prescribed timescale. There are no further outstanding unresolved safety issues. Commissioning and monitoring of control systems is ongoing to ensure satisfactory operation.
