Vol. 517 No. 3

Written Answers. - Driving Tests.

Ivan Yates

Question:

236 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will reconsider establishing a driving test centre in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, on the basis of relocation of an existing test centre (details supplied) in view of the difficulties in this regard. [9820/00]

As indicated in reply to Question No. 570 of 29 September 1999, County Wexford is already served by driving test centres in Gorey and Wexford, and the western parts of County Wexford are served by Kilkenny and Waterford test centres.

Difficulties which have arisen in relation to parking for test applicants at the Gorey test centre are now being resolved in co-operation with Wexford County Council. In the circumstances it is not proposed to site a driving test centre in Enniscorthy.
