Question:278 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the information technology needs of a school (details supplied) in Dublin 12. [9575/00]
Written Answers. - Schools IT 2000 Programme.
In the three year period from 1998 to the end of 2000 at least 60,000 places, on approximately 4000 courses, will have been provided for teachers on ICT in education under the teaching skills initiative of schools IT 2000. Plans are currently being developed for the next stage of the ICT in education programme for schools and this includes a review of the teaching skills initiative. The particular needs of the school in Dublin 12 will be considered in the context of this planning and review.
