No information is available within my Department on the rate of soy consumption or the amount of soy used in foods in this country, nor am I aware of recent information on the Internet on this issue. As Minister of State with responsibility for food safety, if there is a food safety dimension to this issue, I will be happy to pursue it should the Deputy provide me with the details.
