Vol. 517 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

118 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he and the Southern Health Board have to reduce in-patient and out-patient waiting lists at Tralee General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9873/00]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this matter and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
