Vol. 517 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Development.

Billy Timmins

Question:

130 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he has to develop St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9875/00]

The assessment and prioritisation of capital development needs across the eastern region is a matter in the first instance for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I am aware that proposals have been prepared for the development of St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown. These proposals are being considered by my Department, in conjunction with the Eastern Regional Health Authority, in the context of decisions to be taken on the allocation of funding for hospital developments within the national development plan.
