Vol. 517 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

155 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the proposals, if any, he has to appoint an office manager to the Land Registry office in Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10279/00]

I would refer the Deputy to my answer to Question No. 351 on 28 March 2000 in which I stated that the additional staff sanctioned for the Land Registry includes a provision for two new principal officer posts, one of which will be filled in Waterford. I am informed by Land Registry management that the Waterford post is in fact an office manager post. I under stand that it is intended to make the appointment later in the year.
