Crime statistics are published in the annual reports of An Garda Síochána, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The reports contain information on a national, regional and divisional basis. The most recent annual report details the crime statistics for 1998.
It should be noted that Ballyfermot was included as part of Dublin metropolitan region south up until 1996 and as part of Dublin metropolitan region west since 1997.
