Vol. 517 No. 6

Written Answers. - Combat Poverty Agency.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

89 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the proposals, if any, he has to relocate the Combat Poverty Agency; the discussion or consultation with staff regarding any proposal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10511/00]

There are no plans at present to relocate the Combat Poverty Agency outside of Dublin. However, in the context of the new decentralisation programme recently announced by Government, my Department has written to the agency requesting it to carry out an assessment of the feasibility of decentralising the organisation.
