Vol. 517 No. 6

Written Answers. - Outstanding Correspondence.

David Andrews

Question:

128 Mr. Andrews asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will have a number of outstanding issues (details supplied), which are the subject of correspondence with his Department, dealt with as a matter of urgency; the reason for the delay in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10464/00]

The position in relation to the issues raised by the Deputy is as follows: fishing on Lough Mask and Lough Corrib: a reply in this matter issued inadvertently on 7 March to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. A reply has since been issued to the Deputy; an offer of a sea fishing boat licence was made on 28 October 1999, once the conditions have been fully met, a licence will issue; the Deputy's representations on behalf of a person seeking board membership have been noted and will be borne in mind when I come to make a decision in the matter.
