122 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on a recent study of prescription monitoring at St. James's Hospital which reported poor standards in legibility and generic prescribing; and the steps his Department has taken on this matter. [11007/00]

The study referred to by the Deputy has not been submitted to this Department. As St. James's hospital is now under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of that authority for his attention and direct reply to you.
