Vol. 518 No. 1

Other Questions. - National Museum.

Richard Bruton

Question:

40 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the vacancies which exist in the National Museum and have not been filled; the reason these have not been filled; the action she is taking in this regard; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10926/00]

The current vacancies in the National Museum of Ireland are as follows: one assistant keeper, grade II, in the art and industrial division; two clerical officers; and three science and arts attendants. Appointments are due to be made shortly to fill all these vacancies.

Is there a vacancy for an archivist in the National Museum?

These are all the vacancies of which I am aware.

Does the Minister expect them to be filled shortly?
