Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Bradford – the need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to initiate and pursue policies which will encourage young people to take up a career in farming; (2) Deputy Naughten – the need to approve funding for a language unit in County Roscommon; (3) Deputy Ring – the numbers refused unemployment benefit or assistance on grounds of not genuinely seeking work; (4) Deputy Perry – the destruction of dunes and the removal of trees in a special area of conservation at Classicbawn castle and estate, Mullaghmore, County Sligo; (5) Deputy Fitzgerald – the urgent need to review parental leave legislation following an EU decision; (6) Deputy Moloney – the need to include Portarlington, County Laois, in the plans for decentralisation; (7) Deputy Matt Brennan – the delay in commencement of work on a one stop shop in Tubbercurry, County Sligo; (8) Deputy McGrath – the shortage of residential places for delinquent adolescents and the treatment of such children; (9) Deputy Neville – the State's failure to provide appropriate facilities for children out of control (details supplied).

The matters raised by Deputies Neville, Ring, Fitzgerald and McGrath have been selected for discussion.
